Microsoft won’t be dropping support for Windows XP anytime soon, and has recently announced that they will actually commit to support the OS into 2014. That will be 13 years after XP was originally released, and while it seems like a long time it is actually only a three-year extension compared to their previous operating systems.

Facebook netted around 123.9 million unique visits across a total of 50.6 billion pages views, coming above MySpace at 114.6 million unique visits and 45.4 billion page views.
That’s a narrow margin, but a significant one. MySpace is slightly older than Facebook and had an easier time opening up to the public. MySpace was also purchased by News Corp …

It turns out that while Google Android initially was expected to be available by the second half of 2008, phones based on the open source platform may not be around until the very tail-end of the year, with most carriers not expecting to have devices available until 2009.
Apparently T-Mobile is the only carrier expected to have an Android-powered phone come fourth quarter, but that launch is taking up so much of Google’s attention and resources that Sprint is reportedly considering to put its Android device plans on hold for a …
